Sacred Heart University's online Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling delivers advanced analysis and problem-solving skills through evidence-based courses taught in an online learning platform. Rooted in Sacred Heart's mission to prepare students to make a difference in the global community, the program delivers a curriculum that meets the licensing requirements of many states and is developed with CACREP standards as a foundation.

The Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling online program prepares students for careers in counseling-related fields by offering advanced preparation in counseling, testing, and research methods. The program also includes the completion of a practicum consisting of a University-approved counseling setting under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or licensed professional counselor-supervisor (LPC-S).

As members of the clinical mental health counseling program of James Madison University, we have formed our own special community of faculty, staff, and students. The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a graduate-level residential program designed to meet the Virginia requirements for licensure as a Professional Counselor. The faculty provides quality professional training of clinical mental health counselors from a faith-based perspective.

The SOAS MA in Medical Anthropology and Mental Health facilitates understanding of health from diverse perspectives and investigates the complexity of human suffering, as well as varied forms of healing and treatment. The programme offers training in anthropological approaches to the major health and mental health challenges of our time.

MA Nursing (Mental Health) will enable you to work towards becoming a qualified nurse though the Nursing and Midwifery Council registration via an accelerated route and gain a highly regarded master’s qualification. During the programme, you’ll spend half of your time learning the theory and the other half of your time gaining practical clinical experience in hospital and community settings working alongside qualified assessors and supervisors. As well as your time on clinical placements, you’ll also develop your skills in our simulation suites which allow you to practice complex healthcare scenarios in a safe and supportive environment.

Trinity’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program offers rigorous academic and professional training in counseling, combining theory, empirical research, and practical experience. The program deeply considers what it means to be human by emphasizing our embodied experiences, our relational needs, and our longing for healing and reconciliation. Grounded in a Christian perspective, we train counselors to consider all elements of their own humanity as they encounter both resilience and suffering in their clinical work. The program welcomes students of all faith traditions and emphasizes the formation of the whole person in the training of each student answering God’s call to bring healing and restoration. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is a part of the Counseling and Psychology Department. The Counselor Education faculty are responsible for the preparation of students in this program. Trinity is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Immaculata’s 60-credit Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and is also in alignment with the requirements for the State of Pennsylvania’s professional counselor licensure (LPC). Upon program completion, successful students will demonstrate the professional knowledge, skills, and practices necessary to address a wide variety of circumstances within the clinical mental health counseling community.
