Introduction
In WCUI’s Academic Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography program, students can begin gaining the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a career as a cardiovascular sonographer. Students will learn to use high-frequency sound waves to create pictures of the heart and vascular systems to help physicians diagnose heart conditions. Heart conditions may involve heart muscles, heart valves, and/or blood flow abnormalities. With a Cardiovascular Sonography degree, students will assess vital heart health, essential to preventative medicine.
Graduates from WCUI’s Academic Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography program can train for entry-level positions as a cardiovascular sonographer. The program can be completed in as few as 21 months, and students become eligible for relevant CCI registry exams upon graduation.
