Introduction
The supervised professional practice of Gynecology and Obstetrics I is guided by
curricular, procedural, and attitudinal contents, which the student develops in
a close teacher-student relationship, which promotes learning-by-doing through
professional and work obligations of the student in the medical center where he/she performs his / her
practice.
In the first semester practices, emphasis will be placed on neonatology, general gynecology, and pathologies that require approach, hospitalization, and surgical treatments. Within
of a humanistic educational approach and ethical principles. Its objectives and contents are
identified with the model focused on people's health needs, and
related to the principles of universality, equity, comprehensiveness of care,
continuity of services and their quality, respect for rights, and satisfaction of
people for medical care. It constitutes the foundation of the Practice in Gynecology
and Obstetrics II.
