We are accepting applications for the September entry and our application deadline is 1st March.
Study a five-year Medicine MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) undergraduate programme in Malta, Europe. Studying at QMUL Malta means you’ll be studying medicine at one of the very best universities.
Malta, like the UK, has a proud history of expert healthcare and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), is part of the prestigious Russell Group association in the United Kingdom (UK). Russell Group universities have huge social, economic and cultural impacts locally, across the UK and around the world.
Formerly known as Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL is a leading Medical School. Barts and The London were formed out of the oldest hospital in Europe, St Bartholomew’s (known as ‘Barts’) which was founded in 1123, and England’s first medical school, The London, which opened in 1785.
The QMUL Malta MBBS programme is identical to the programme taught in London and you will be taught in Malta by staff from QMUL as well as local clinicians trained by the School.
The island of Gozo
QMUL Malta opened in October 2019. The state-of-the-art campus is situated on the grounds of Gozo General Hospital and features access to a 21st-century Anatomy Centre. Gozo is one of the three islands that make up the Republic of Malta.

Malta has a dazzling history, spanning 7,000 years: the islands have three UNESCO World Heritage sites (including the entire Maltese capital, Valletta). More recently, you might have seen Malta on TV: the islands provide some of the stunning locations for Game of Thrones.
