Introduction
The Master of Science degree in Health Coaching is a completely online, academic degree for working professionals comprised of 12 classes and a qualifying exam for a total of 36 trimester credits.
This program will provide you with current and historical knowledge, language and listening skills to encourage and inspire clients to attempt changes that will positively affect their health.
It will enable you to:
Critically examine assumptions underlying the health coaching practice.
Participate in the creation of an academic body of knowledge.
Employ comprehensive health history to design and implement personalized plans with clients.
Inspire accountability in clients to adhere to goals.
Improve interpersonal communication as a means to develop self-awareness in clients.
Understand behavior change and be able to demonstrate application in motivating others.
Demonstrate a commitment to carrying out professional responsibilities and an adherence to ethical principles of the profession.
