COM exceeds state educational standards, enabling practitioners to collaborate effectively with Western Medicine professionals.

Contemporary Oriental Medicine

Although acupuncture is the most recognized aspect of Chinese medicine in the West, in China, herbal medicine is at least as significant. The same theoretical and diagnostic rationale can be applied to acupuncture and herbal medicine, though there are differences in practice.
