In the educational proposal of the Endodontics program of UNICIEO, the training goal is interpreted as educational processes oriented to the development of competencies, which express the capacities that the student must possess in terms of values, attitudes, knowledge, abilities, aptitudes, and skills. One result of this process consists in the formulation of terminal competencies for each deepening module, that is, those that the student must have achieved during the development of each curricular unit.

As a very important point within the principles that guide the training of postgraduates of the Endodontics Specialization of UNICIEO, it is consigned the fact that students are recognized as people who are already professionals, with clinical experience, who must be treated as colleagues of teachers, and that they are not a person removed from professional practice due to their desire to deepen their knowledge, but on the contrary, it is assumed that the student can involve such practice in their academic training and therefore has time to attend your private or institutional practice. This fundamental concept is one of the integrating axes of the curricular proposal, in the so-called Dual Training, understood as an educational strategy whose objective is to provide theoretical and practical training that allows students adequate incorporation into the world of work, through the approach between the education sector and the real productive sector. This Dual Training admits that learning takes place in two places, the educational institution, and the productive sector, through a process of a systematic, organized, and structured alternation.
