Introduction
The certificate for Medical Administrative Assistant prepares the completer with employment opportunities in various healthcare settings. In order to provide an educational platform to prepare for this pathway, the School of Nursing and Allied Health, in conjunction with the W. Paul Cole Jr. School of Business, offer the courses (Microsoft Word & Presentations, Business, and Electronic Communications, Safety and First Aid, Medical Terminology, Introduction to Health Services Management) to be packaged and upon completion of all 14 hours the student to be awarded a certificate for Medical Administrative Assistant. The certificate Medical administrative assistants may require on-the-job training for better performance if needed for a particular health care area.
