Introduction

Basic course 1 is the first step in your coherent training course for Social and health assistant, Social and health assistant, or Pedagogical assistant. Here you get the opportunity to clarify your wishes and opportunities for education and prepare yourself to take Basic Course 2.
Basic course 2 Social and health assistant is for you who have completed Basic course one or completed primary and lower secondary school more than 14 months before the start of education.
Basic course 2 (20 weeks) is the start of the education for Social and Health Assistant. At Basic Course 2, you will work with subjects that specialize in your main education.
In the social and health assistant education (main course - 2 years and ten months), you have education-specific subjects, basic subjects, three elective subjects, and three optional education-specific subjects. The teaching is divided into themes of different duration.
The school's education supervisors can guide you before starting one of the programs and during your course. The training supervisors can, for example, help you lay out a training plan and answer questions about further training. They can also guide you on which professional and personal competencies are important to you to complete the education.
