What is Pulmonology?
Pulmonology is the study of diseases that affect the lungs and respiratory system. This includes conditions such as asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and pneumonia. Pulmonologists are doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating these conditions.

Differenty types of Pulmonology degrees

After completing a residency, some pulmonologists may choose to subspecialize in a particular area of the field, such as critical care pulmonology or interventional pulmonology. Alternatively, students can earn a master's degree or doctorate in pulmonary science or another related field. These programs typically take two to four years to complete.
