Introduction
The Master in Biomedical Technologies responds to the need for highly qualified personnel who respond and promote advances in the health sector. Thus, students will deepen their engineering knowledge applied to the field of biomedicine, training experts capable of innovating, designing, developing, evaluating and maintaining various medical devices for diagnosis and / or treatment.
We highlight
- 1 year of classes and 6 months of internships with a scholarship of € 600 / month
- Master classes by cutting-edge professionals and experts in the biomedical field
- Learning Journey: Learning stays in hospitals, universities and companies
- You can take the TFM in a company in the biomedical engineering sector. For example: KIRO Grifols, Fagor Healthcare, Bexen Cardio, Bexen Medical, Mizar, Ulma, Microliquid, Tecnalia, Vicomtech.
Methodology
Mondragon Unibertsitatea offers advanced training based on its own teaching-learning methodologies:
- Active methodologies, based on the realization of multidisciplinary projects (Project Based Learning PBL) and with the feedback of teachers promoting continuous learning.
- Continuous assessment.
- Possibility of study-work alternation.
- End of Master's Project in Companies and Technological Centers of reference.
- Bilingual model.
- Autonomous Learning.
- Participation in research lines.
- Practices in laboratories with advanced equipment.
- Visits to companies and technological centers of reference.
Dual Program
Mondragon Unibertsitatea is a practical university, immersed in business reality and that provides students with different learning experiences in business environments (dual training, study-work alternation, and final degree / master projects).
We have a large network of collaborating companies that integrate the dual training experiences of students as a strategy to attract and retain young talent. These companies also help students to integrate their final bachelor / master project into the larger research and transfer projects that they carry out together with Mondragon Unibertsitatea .
All these training experiences in business environments last between 10 months and 3 years depending on the modality and have a financial aid bag.
Ideal Students
Addressed to
University graduates in Biomedical Engineering. With training complements: other engineering.
Career Opportunities
The knowledge and skills acquired in the Master in Biomedical Technologies are applicable to a wide range of medical devices for treatment and/or diagnosis. In these areas of application, students who obtain this degree can carry out the following activities, among others:
- Write, manage and direct Biomedical Engineering projects, from the detection of new opportunities to their implementation in the market.
- Design, develop and implement products, equipment, processes and services in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
- Manage the installation and maintenance of both medical equipment and hospital facilities.
- Manage and guarantee the quality of products, equipment, processes and services in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
- Market products, equipment, processes and services of Biomedical Engineering.
- Train people from different fields by transmitting knowledge, attitudes and skills of Biomedical Engineering.
Thus, these qualified people have a wide range of professional opportunities, among which it is worth highlighting:
- Companies in the Biomedical Engineering sector.
- Universities and Technology Centers.
- Public administrations, both regional and state.
Program Outcome
The main objective of this master's degree is to train experts capable of innovating, optimizing, designing, developing, evaluating and maintaining various diagnostic and/or treatment medical devices. To this end, the students will be trained to:
- Respond to problems in the healthcare world by implementing various treatment and/or diagnosis technologies.
- Project, design and manufacture biomedical products from their conception to their commercialization.
- Facilitate decision-making in diagnosis or treatment through the analysis of data and medical images.
- Guarantee the rights and safety of the patient within the framework of current legislation.
On the other hand, the learning results achieved in this Master are adapted to Level 3 of the MECES (Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education).
