Women’s health programs may help students become more familiar with women’s issues. Courses may include studies about the wide range of physical and mental health issues that women may deal with at various times and ages of their lives. 

An M.D., or Doctor of Medicine, is an academic achievement that can take years of schooling to obtain. It is only awarded once students have shown they have the knowledge and experience required to practice medicine competently.
